HalfRez is Chicago’s flagship motion design celebration—a gathering where artists, studios, and students across the Midwest connect, showcase, and celebrate craft. When the organizers needed a digital home that captured the same energy as the event itself, they partnered with Builtwell. We designed and developed a site that mirrors the spirit of HalfRez: bold, fast, and community-driven. From streamlining ticketing and event details to creating a visual system that reflects the vibrancy of the motion design scene, the website extends the HalfRez experience online—making it easy for the community to rally before the party and stay connected long after.
